Nursery

Our maintained nursery was established in February 2016. Our vision for the nursery was to provide a gateway to learning for as many children as possible at a younger age. Through opening the nursery we have been able to extend our educational provision to 2, 3 and 4 year old children. This was an exciting development for our school and the local community. The impact of early qualified teacher led education has been evident from two cohorts of children moving into Reception class having experienced a happy start to their educational career. The parental feedback from the children who have attended the nursery has been very positive and supportive.

The nursery is a safe, bright, nurturing pre-school setting overseen by our whole school EYFS leader, led by a fully qualified teacher and highly qualified nursery teaching assistants. We offer a creative, playful, stimulating learning environment in a purpose built nursery classroom and numerous outdoor spaces where children have the opportunity to explore, to be challenged, to be curious, to experiment, to investigate, to discover and to grow spiritually with their friends. The children follow the national EYFS curriculum through a child led model. We hone in on current topical events and the children's own interests to stimulate their creativity in learning and support them to meet their early learning goals.

The nursery operates in the format of two separate classes each week, this is to allow the most number of children the opportunity to use 15 hours educational time with us. There are three intakes during the academic year, September, January and May depending on availability in the nursery classes at that time and the age of your child.

Turtles class: Monday 9:00am - 3:00pm, Tuesday 9:00am - 3:00pm, Wednesday 8:45am - 11:45am

Dolphins class: Wednesday 12:15pm-3:15pm, Thursday 9:00am - 3:00pm, Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm

However if there are spaces available there could be the possibility to admit a child for 30 hours a week, with that child being a member of both classes. If you have any questions after exploring our admissions page or would like to visit the nursery please feel free to call us for more information.

More information on how to apply can be found on our Nursery Admissions page. Please see the attached links for information about FEET funded places and 30 hour eligibility.
