Happy New Year! I hope that you and your families managed to have a peaceful Christmas break this year.
This week in assembly the children have reflected on how to improve their lives and help others around them, through the use of New Year Resolutions and the Feast of the Epiphany. Today you were all in our thoughts and prayers as we celebrated a whole school mass together with Mgr Overton.
Next week, we are holding our annual E-Safety week, where all of the children will learn more about how to stay safe on the internet. The key message we teach our children is that the internet and mobile tech-nologies are extremely useful in modern society but must be used responsibly to keep everybody safe. Please take this opportunity to discuss what the children are learning about and consider if there is any-thing further you can do to ensure your children are safe when using the internet or mobile technology at home.
We hope that you have had a chance to look at our new school website over the Christmas Holidays. On it you will find the copy of your child’s Curriculum Map which is referred to in the Curriculum Newsletter that was sent home today as well as some very useful information on E-safety. We would welcome any feedback regarding the website.
Finally, I am sure that you would like to join us in congratulating Mr Lane and his family on their new arrival. Mrs Lane gave birth to a beautiful baby boy during the Christmas holidays and both mother and baby are doing very well! Congratulations Mr Lane and Mrs Lane.
