Since 2008, we have developed a strong partnership with Saint Therese of Lisieux Kindergarten and Primary School in Tanzania. British Council funding has allowed ten teachers to travel to Tanzania and ten to visit our school over recent years. The annual visits allow the joint curriculum projects to develop and relationships to strengthen. The partnership is based on an equal relationship and educational goals. The projects allow the children to learn from each other and explore global issues such as poverty, water pollution and other ‘big questions’.
Our two schools work within a cluster of 8 schools; four local Catholic Schools and four Catholic schools in Dar es Salaam. The partnership has brought our school communities together and has allowed our pupils to grow into ‘global citizens’.
Our close partnership has enabled us to successfully apply for the British Council’s International School Award twice over.
