Newsletter 18 2015/16

Dear Parents, I would like to thank you and the children for your good wishes, thoughts and prayers on the birth on birth of my son. He and Mummy are well! It was lovely to return to school and see the children again and I was very excited to see the nursery taking shape as furniture arrives and resources fill the cupboards and shelves. Once again your generosity astounds me. Some of the resources that have been donated are fantastic and will ensure our children have a huge range of equipment and toys to enjoy learning with. It will all go to good use! We feel that we have enough for now but do think of us in future if you have good quality resources you no longer need. I hope you have had a chance to browse the new school website and I hope you find it easy to navigate and find all of the relevant information you need. There are some final tweaks being made so that the online calendar and news feed function are up and run-ning as we would like. You may have seen this article on the recently released Real School’s Guide. The table of schools is complied based on what parents most value when choosing a school. We were ranked 8th in Surrey, which is a fantastic achievement.

Finally, I am sad to say that Mr Wimblett, our IT Technician and After School Club Super-visor will be leaving us today after 4 years at the school. He has been offered an exciting new role in a secondary school. I would like to thank him for his years of service to the school and for helping us greatly improve the IT for both the children and staff as well as helping establish and manage the After School Club so successfully.

Mr Lane
